Timubo Cave, Camotes Island Cebu

I took a tour from Mangodlong Paradise. The tour includes Timubo Cave. I can’t pinpoint from the map where the cave is located but maybe I can find some guide over the web and I will post it later.

It was only a brief moment when I saw the cave. I was with my brother and dad. We are a group of 5 and only three of us were brave enough to conquer what nature unfold. I went down with heart palpitating. It’s a deep cave. I don’t remember how far did we reach but we didn’t get to the bottom.

I thought I could reach the end of it and take good pictures of the entire cave. I failed and it sucked. The reason was the water level. All of us didn’t wear beach clothes and we don’t want to get wet. So we only got the portion. But I don’t have regrets at all.

Coming down was hard and getting up. I thought I might panic there because I feel a strange in my breathing. I destructed my senses and didn’t pay close attention to it. I did that by taking pictures when we were about to get to the surface. 

At least I conquer my fears of dark and feeling suffocated. Now I have a little adventure marked on my list.

Pollen

Coming home to work yesterday I made a little side trip to get drinks from Starbucks. I am lucky that I live close from work to home. I made the route to San Tomas Expy. Traffic was good not much cars to deal with. I went to a stop in El Camino Real and will make my left turn when I observed the wind carrying flower buds and it's all over the street. I had my window opened when I made the stop and I hurriedly closed my window when I saw what was happening. No wonder all the allergies from people will come to live when things like pollen and flower buds will be scattering and flowing with the wind blows. I was glad I had not sneezed at all. I was feeling fine. I arrived at Starbucks with no problem and got my drinks.

Flood in Metro Cebu

I read a post wall message from my cousin about the flooding in Cebu. She asked her sibling what's the status of the island and I was kind of hysterical too. I didn't know about what's happening in Cebu since I have not talked to my family. So I responded to the message but got no replies. Probably people in Cebu were too busy responding what is happening in the surrounding area.

Just now, I read the news. The heavy rains that lasted for 90 minutes had overflowed a creek. With the narrow streets and houses too near with each other damages are too evident it could spread everywhere. It's just so bad that it happened though but it's an eye opener for people and the local government to watch this kind of incident. I hope they could establish a law for putting up properties near the creek and implement a good structure for the river to flow.

Supervolcano - Yellowstone

I am just reading the news right now about the volcano that might going to erupt one day. That's scary to think about it.

You are a tourist walking around the national park and you don't know that you are stepping on is an underground volcano. It could happen that it might erupt without you knowing it. But there are some signs for caution with the park. Only those who love adventure would get out of the way and look for what's hidden. I just hope one day that scientist would be able to predict when this volcano would run its course so we could be warned and we would be able to avoid too much distraction.

Flood in Australia

What can I say about the world's changing environment? I'm scared really because no one knows what the future brings. If what mankind created that makes the ecological cycle intervenes the natures existence. It's scary to think about what will be the next big destruction is.

Just recently, a flood hit in Australia killing about 19 people and 70+ missing. Nature suffered from what humans did to the environment and it's running it's curse. I hope that if there's any destruction that may come we would have the technology to know where it's coming from and how it's going to affect us.

Cloudy Day

For straight 2 days now, the sky is gloomy. It has been days of pouring rain. It's a good sign to replenish the water shortages. But I am hoping that it won't last that long. Too much rain is just too much to bare. It's nice though since nature itself knows how to do its course.

Here in CA we don't get that rain much. But when the weather say it's going to rain, for the most part it will always be. There might be a couple of times from here and there that the prediction didn't match what the weather will be like, but majority of it will going to happen. Lucky we don't get snow here in the valley. It's really a place of good weather all year long.

I am hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. I look forward for some good sunshine. Cross Fingers!

The module apologizes in a climate.

Sunset in Kauai

It was the last day of our trip in September that I came to see the beautiful sunset in Kauai. I was on top of the Kalalau trail walking a mile or two. It was kind of late when I was up there so the goal of walking the 11 mile was not able to accomplished. Besides that, walking is not my thing. I have problems with my ankle and I was kind of worried when I was up there. Nature was very kind that there was no trouble of me getting up to where I had able to go and my ankle didn't cause me any trouble.

I had took pictures while I was up in the hill and when I came down to almost see the almost finished sunset view. But it was really nice to capture at least a small portion of it. Though I almost missed the while thing. Anyway, it was such a good trip.

Sunset in Evergreen

I went to a friend's house yesterday. Their house got the most beautiful view of the valley. The weather was so nice too. The sunset created a very beautiful glow and the colors of the sky was just perfect. It was such a nice to get to see a sunset like that.

Pali Look Out

It was raining when we were riding on the bus going to this location. The bus driver was saying to us that hopefully when we were up there the rain would stop. It did and we were able to go out from the bus and take a picture. This was the place of the battle of Pali. I haven't really read the entire history on this one and I must read about it. It's a shame not to but I will. Anyhow, this is just to let you see how nice the place is. You can see the wet land and the dry land. Gust winds on this so crazy. I wore a skirt but I've got no problem because I was wearing shorts underneath. The bus driver told us especially who wore skirts to be very careful. I was and I was aware about it so there was no concern on my part. I haven't got to take a very good picture on this because of the weather but I got a couple.

Halona Blow Hole

As part of the tour we had on Oahu, we've come across this live volcano blow hole above sea level. I caught this picture where it spits some white smoke. It just small but it's apparent it's active. The rocks form on of the area is the dried lava. How amazing mother nature work it's wonder in creating this. Apart from the blow hole few distance away from it is a rocky beach. There are still people going to the place and swim.

The Beach

Sunset in Waikiki

While chasing for the last sunset, it wasn't the best but sure does for keeps.

This is my second time in Oahu, Hawaii. Just a short notice, hubby booked for 5 nights. It was unexpected because we never really plan about going nowhere. Indeed, it's nice to be able to travel when able. I had a marvelous time spending my leisure time watching the sunsets and how the day would come by. The weather just kept on changing. Sunny in the morning drizzle in the afternoon and the other way around. It never poured rain though so we were lucky.

Anyway, my first take of photos here was 2005 and I didn't get lucky because I don't know much with photography. This time I had a few that I finally got it but not quite as I envision it. But I made justice to the photos as well thankful that hubby tried to take some for me in the background.

It was hard to get this picture but I am glad hubby pushed to get it for me.

Strange Clouds

I have 2 photos here that I remembered when I went to Reno, Nevada last year. I took the photos because I find it so strange.

On the road looked up the sky. This strange clouds appeared so weird, huge and long. I thought there might be an alien festival up there. There were a couple of circular clouds formed too but I got the hard time taking a good shot. I was with hubby while driving the highway towards Reno.
In this scene, I find the clouds illuminates the hotel in Alanis. I like the way the clouds appear above the hotel. The color itself made it more attractive. It was a nice drive and see such a nice environment.

Boracay 2010

You will surely miss a whole lot of things when you visit to the Philippines if you skipped going to the beach. The country composes of 7,107 islands. Imagine how it would look like. You would think somehow where to find that personal paradise of choice. As for me and hubby, I would consider one of them is Boracay. It has the finest white sand that I have stepped on. I had been to Hawaii, Mexico, Aruba, Phuket Thailand and Penang Malaysia. So far, there’s nothing beats the sand of Boracay. Locals of the island should be proud of it. I do sure hope they could maintain it and make more progress in the island. From the last time I’ve been there, there are so much change that I saw when I went back last February. It’s a good change and they really have a better system now.

Mantayupan Falls, Barili Cebu

This is the 2nd famous water falls in Cebu. It just recently opened for public. It is not very crowded yet but as people would flock here and see this place this place will be full. To compare this with Kawasan, I think I would prefer to go to this location. Not too far from the City an hour drive and walking towards the falls and creek was not too bad too. I hope this place would maintain it's cleanliness so we could get the serenity of this beautiful view.

Montara State Beach

I was with hubby when we took the route to Half Moon Bay to this location. It was a very nice afternoon. Not so cold, a little bit breezy but it was definitely a good day. It was going to San Francisco maybe 20 minutes away. We were on top of a hill. The shore is down the hill but we didn't go down there. It would take minutes to go down so we just stayed where we were and took some shots. It was a new discovery. There are so many places here to take really good picture with nature. I just don't have the best camera but I think I got some vision on what a good place maybe.

Green for the Future

My experience exploring the “How to Get a Green Thumb?” was useful. It enlighten me more on how beneficial it is to be aware on how our world is doing and what it’s going to happen in the near future. I did make a comment because I agree of using artificial plants can help people with symptoms of allergies.

My husband is prone to seasonal allergies. It is very sad to look at him suffering when it happens. At home we don’t use real plants we likely to use artificial silk plants. Not only it is economical, we can also help from destroying our environment but cutting trees. I would go for green in the future. I don’t want our world to be bald. The more greenery there is the better. Thus, using silk plants is very advantageous not just for people who have allergies but also the nature of the earth.

Tornado Season

It is very touching to read another horrible article from the current news days ago about the tornado hitting the Central Midwest. I am sad and I would like to extend my prayers for the people that was affected either by losing a home, properties and loved ones.

Here in California, we don't have tornadoes but we are in the center of the earthquake zone. Anytime or in God's time, destruction can happen. Scary indeed yes. I am not prepared to face that in the future and I know I must need to prepare myself in case it will happen. So going back to what happened to Missouri, Georgia and Oklahoma, there is no better warning with this weather change. Tornado can happen quick and when it hit its fast. So people has no better luck of saving what they have if they aren't aware when this thing could happen. I am glad I am not in the tornado alley state but I am not further still be in a safe zone with the rattle of the quake happen.

Mesmerizing Beach

I am no good of wearing swimsuit but just wanted to post this picture for this was taken at Playa del Carmen Beach in Mexico. The beach is walking distance from our resort. Across this beach is Cozumel, where lots of tourists from the cruise ship land into. Lots of shopping over there as I've heard but I got no intension of spoiling my day relaxing in this beautiful beach.

I don’t admire easily going to the beach and swim. This one enthralled me. The water was calm. It was after sunset the water is warmer but refreshing. It was a good choice to spend our first wedding anniversary in there. A little pricy on the resort but money is worth its value. I was so thankful that my husband took time to find the best place for us to enjoy our day. I was lucky enough to be there and had a great time of my life.

Katanoi Beach, Phuket Thailand

As you could have seen my other post, I am posting more pictures of here of places that I visited especially the beach. I grow up with an ocean just few miles from where I live and I am fascinated to be in the area where I could smell the sea, playing the sand, listening to the waves and just relax my mind.

After the devastated Tsunami in Phuket Thailand, my husband and I were interested to see the place. We stayed at Katathani Resort. It is so nice there especially during sunset and the night could be so magical. I had enjoyed my vacation over there for few days and it was well spent. I had a picture here posted that I felt like there was no tsunami that happened. The beach looks great, the weather and the sand it’s very comforting. If you are an aquatic person, don’t miss this chance to visit this beautiful place. You will surely love it.

Chocolate Hills, Bohol Philippines

This is one of the most attractive areas to visit in the Philippines. Bohol itself has lots of things historically and nature to speak with. For now I would like to focus on this very particular site where I pretty love to visit every time I land in there. I think these days there could be some changes with progress involve but this landmark I guess won't change.

Chocolate Hills is composed of tiny hills scattered over the vast of land in Bohol. If you go set foot at the peak of Carmen where it has a shrine made for tourist to see this overlooking creation. You can ask where and how this hills come from and who made this. All I know is a legend which doesn't really co-relate with science. Is it nature or is it man made? But if you come to look at it, there's no way people long before I was born or our great father existed could create such many hills. It's very fascinating to see this place.
