My mom's green bean casserole

Guest post written by Kendra Robertson

When it comes to most things, I don't really bother with making them homemade, especially when it comes to food. But there are certain things and certain occasions that just call for things to be homemade instead of store bought or just heated up, like Thanksgiving. That and Christmas family dinner are the two times of the year that I break my habits and make stuff homemade.

One thing I always insist on making for Thanksgiving is my mom's old recipe for homemade green bean casserole. It was always my favorite growing up and when you make it with just canned soup the easy way it doesn't even hold a candle to my mom's. But I found out that I had misplaced the recipe so I had to get my sister to email it to me. When I was copying that down and saving it, I came across www.ClearTVBundle.com and decided to change my internet company to it after reading through all of it.

It really is the ultimate classic green bean casserole and so worth the extra trouble.

Sunset in Evergreen

I went to a friend's house yesterday. Their house got the most beautiful view of the valley. The weather was so nice too. The sunset created a very beautiful glow and the colors of the sky was just perfect. It was such a nice to get to see a sunset like that.

Wild Roosters In Kaui

I have read about it in the traveler posts the wild rooster that is just every where in Kaui. I never thought that it could be so untouched there. I just got from a trip a few days ago. The trip was absolutely the most relaxing trip ever. No set plan about going anywhere but the unexpected happen. We were able to tour some places that we thought we couldn't get into. I was happy to see different beach and surroundings. It's nice to explore what is not visibly can be found in what you get used to.

The encounter of the rooster started the first morning while we were on the beach. I had took some pictures of it but it was too blurry so it was a disappointment. I will still try to post it here later. My husband get amused to hear the roosters cracking. I was able to laugh at him with his reaction. When we went to Marriott to check in and during one of the days we were there, even in restaurants they will just appear. I am amazed the guests and locals were treating them. It's just pretty natural for the rooster to be around with people.

The View Gives A Great Point Of View!

Guest post from: Joe Castro

My favorite daytime television program is The View. All of the women who host the program have wonderful personalities and they make an excellent mix as a group. The diversity of the hosts also adds to the appeal of the show. Barbara Walters is a well known and respected media journalist, she is great as the lead host. Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behr add a great element of humor and they always make me laugh. The ladies discuss everything from current events and celebrity news to world politics. They do not always agree with one another but that is one of the elements that make this an interesting show to watch. Hearing the opinion of five very different women, who are all of different ages and backgrounds makes for an interesting mix of voices. The show can be especially involving if one the hosts is very passionate about a topic, some major arguments have been aired to viewers and they were always engrossing to watch. "The View" will usually offer an interesting guest or musical talent in its lineup and that adds to the appeal, its not just another talk show! I enjoy watching the program on TV By Direct from my home when I can. It is a nice way to relax and spent and hour.

Shoreline, Mountain View CA

One find Sunday afternoon hubby and I went to visit this place again. This is a man made lake. Though this will contradict the concept of this blog. But what makes it incline to nature is the very nice sunset and the birds that are surrounding the area.

We have visited this place several times in the past. But every time we went here it was cold, foggy and chilly. We had not spent the time to maximize the place and enjoy the day. So that day on sunday, though it was bright and sunny it is still chilly. I had set up my tripod and camera hoping to get a good picture. I tried so many times, but the glare of the sun reflected on the camera. And the output of the picture was not good. I used 3 different lens and different filters to avoid the glare and no matter how hard I tried the hope of getting the best one with me on the background was a failure. Hubby was there with me for a few minutes but with him getting chilly he went back to the car. I took a shot while he was there to be a model for that shoot but the pictures turned out not great. I deleted most of them.

I was seriously hoping to make the most of my time there though I was also felt cold. It was a failure that I didn't get the picture that I want. There were only 2 photos of that trip that was good. I will post it later.

Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is the cancer of the lining of the lungs. The caused of this disease is due to the exposure of asbestos. I have no idea what this meant until I read about it. This is very serious and anyone experiencing symptoms of this disease should go to the doctor and have this check. It will cause death. It’s not the kind of illness that should not be neglected.

People who are in the construction business and working in the construction are very likely exposed to this. I might think those who worked in the 1980’s or the earlier part. The materials built for the houses are commonly asbestos due to the heat resistant. This is a shock to find how things can be bad. I wonder how people could feel when they have Mesothelioma Cancer. It is very painful to accept that for many years you are trying to make a living but in the later part of your life you will just have to find out that you have cancer. Accepting the fact is painful as well as accepting the truth that you are ill. Surviving Mesothelioma is getting aware and you have yourself checked. Any symptoms should be observed closely.
