My Best Friend

My husband completely despises my best friend, Marie, and it drives me crazy. I know that she isn’t the easiest person to warm up to, but we have been friends for years and I can’t just dump her. I know she can go on and on about things that other people don’t find interesting and he hates the fact that we have a bit of an argumentative relationship. To me, it’s just how it has always been. In a weird way I find comfort in our stupid arguments and her long rants because I know that at the end of the day we will always be friends. The other night we went out to dinner and Marie was singing the praises of clear wireless internet and I could see my husband’s eyes glazing over. He got this look in his eyes after about five minutes and I could tell he was about to explode if I didn’t get him out of there, fast. I don’t know what to do about this! I wish someone could give me better advice than to just keep them apart.
