Typhoon Hit so Bad in Philippines

It's hard to read the news for the past few days. The Southern part of the Philippines was hit by a typhoon with a strong down pour of rain. Casualties are counting and the last time I read it was sometime 900 dead and lots of missing people. The area that hit most was near the river where the water rises up in breaking record. It was unexpected to hit that bad. I hope relief and donation will be enough to those who are in need.

Foggy Morning

For 2 days driving to work, fogs were all over the street. It isn't bad because the road strips were still visible. I have heard from my Director that tomorrow will be more dense and the gust winds are range from 35mph. I wonder how cold it could be. Grrrh! It looks like going to be a coldest day maybe.

Beautiful Landscape in Maui

Here is the collection of photos I took. I had the marvelous time in Maui and definitely I would like to go back. I hope it will be soon or sometime next year. Who knows when it will be but it will be less than a year. That's how I love staying there.

Sunset In Maui

How cool is this shot? I took this while I was in South Kihie in Maui. The resort was in Maui Schooner. I almost missed this one beautiful sunset. I was there for 6 days but this was the only day I got to shoot. I am thankful I had one to remember. I love sunset. The part of South Kihie doesn't really get that sunset touch down. It's covered with the mountain backdrop. But if you look at that golden orange sky, it was just nice to see.

This was the touchdown but the hills covered that. It was still nice to see that moment.

The palms and the sunset. Pretty relaxing to enjoy your vacation.

Cat - Pet Photography

Daphne is my very first pet that I took glamorously. Isn't she adorable? I took this shot while I was inside Kasie's room setting and measuring lights. By the way Kasie is the daughter of my friend Louella who lives in Nebraska. This photo was taken sometime in August of this year while I was visiting them.

I was doing a pictorial for Kasie that day. But Daphne was the trial shot. Behind this photo was the pink curtain served as a background. She was on the floor below the window frame. I felt she wanted to take me a shot of her so I rushed to take this shot. We got an eye connection. It was one of a kind shot and rare. I would say she did good.

Liking the fall

Though it's a little strange that the weather is still fabulous. I am enjoying it. This time it could have been gloomy, rainy and cold. But for the past weeks the weather has been really nice. They said it's going to rain tomorrow. Now I might going to start wearing fleece and sweatshirts.

Well see how the cold will sink in for the coming days. I am not really a winter person. Glad that the weather in CA is not harsh so I am quite lucky. I hope it's not going to be freezing cold.

Since this blog has been neglected, my bad! I will search on my archive on the place I've been and see if it fits to this blog. I will post new one soon! Thanks for dropping by.

Being a wedding photographer is actually a LOT more work than you might think. Not only do I have to give up all my weekends to attend weddings and photograph them I have to spend hours and hours retouching and printing and making into albums. It’s time consuming but I love every minute of it – that’s why I’m doing what I’m doing! I decided to start photographing full time a few years back when my wife got sickand I realized life’s too short not to do what you love. So here I am, home office with OC3 and a giant darkroom in the garage and you know, I’ve never been happier. My wife made a full recovery and I feel so much better now about not having to work 50 hour weeks at a job I hate. I may work now more than I did before but it’s easier work that I love doing. I don’t think you can ask for a job that gives you more than that, you know?

Where's fall?

I attended a children's party yesterday. It was nice to be out during weekends. For straight 2 days I was out with friends. Saturday was a great day. Perfect weather actually. It could have been nice to go the beach. But no plans of driving far so I met up with my virtual friend. I had a good time with that meeting.

Yesterday's party was great too because I have seen people that I used to hang out. I don't have so much time to spare to see them anymore so it was really great to see them. The weather was nice too. I thought it's going to be chilly. But it wasn't it still feels like summer. Where's fall? I don't know. I have read the dj on the radio speaking that we could still have a good weather for the week. Might as well enjoy while it lasts.

Summer is still in the Bay area

Fall did start last week on Friday the 23rd but the weather still heating up. We hit like 90 last week and for this week we are on average at 85. A warm temperature for the week. It's good that we have this kind of weather. But I just don't like when sudden change occurs from hot to cold and vice versa. For now, it still feels like summer here. I am not even changing my wardrobe to fall season. The weather delayed me for a little bit. Let's see what it will be on the coming days.

Calgary rentals

There are places in my wish lists that I have not traveled yet. Canada is one of them. I hope I could go to one day. If I have the chance, I will search Calgary rentals and check what I could find in terms of rent and judge my budget out of that. The website published their prices and looking at the condition of what they are listing, I am stunned to see that prices for rent are cheaper to compare it from where I lived.

Canada is booming and the economy is doing pretty well. Geographically, it’s near the US territory and I have few friends who lived there. They maybe scattered all over the country but it could be good to see them while visiting. One area in the country that I would to say more is Calgary in Alberta. I didn’t know they also produce oil in there. So much with my little knowing about the world, but places like that could be good to look for work. The oil producing city is becoming more and more progressive as the years gone by and with that being said, people will flock to go there to find work and hopefully living comfortably. It makes me get interested to know about the place and the people.

Pelican Bird

Well I get amazed with this bird at Boardwalk Santa Cruz. One afternoon strolling along and enjoying the view, this bird catch the audience charm. I for one, can't help not to take a photo. He stood near me and took a pose.

Back seat television

Written by Fermin Washington

I have never had a desire to have a television in my car. When I was a kid, I used to think it might be fun, but how fun could it actually be? They are usually in suburbia-mobiles aka the mini-van, don’t get Direct TV, and can only show one program at a time. I can imagine that only being able to watch one movie at a time on a back-seat television could lead to arguments between siblings. If kids fight today anything like my siblings and I fought, having a television in the car could possibly be a huge highway risk. I could understand if you were traveling with kids on long trips often, back seat televisions could be helpful. If you are just tooling around town and toting the kids to soccer practice on a daily basis, I don’t see the need for back-seat television. Unless of course mom wants to catch a flick while she is waiting for the kiddies in the carpool line. It could cause her be bothered by the other moms who are dying of boredom in the line and want to watch the movie too!

Smelling the Fall

I have been observing the weather these past few weeks. I think it's getting cold now. In the morning, when heating up my car. I see moisture building up. I have to clean the window shield in front and back. I don't see any fog yet but it might be soon. I can smell the weathers changing. It's just a short summer season.

I am glad we don't have harsh summer heat here in the bay area. We are lucky enough to experience such a beautiful weather. I had not spend a time in the beach to check what it's like to be in there. Maybe soon I wanna try it before the season ends. Well post some pictures later on if I could get lucky.

Is it the end of Summer?

For 2 days now, I feel a little bit chilly. The winds and the breeze is more cooler. Temperatures are getting to low as 50's. Hmm, I think it's going to be a short summer season then. Well, I am just hoping that it could not get too cold when the season really changed to normal weather pattern.

The weather actually is really nice as of this writing. In the office I saw outside the sun shines brightly where leaves swaying as the winds blows. There's a little greenery here but mostly I could see the wall of the building structure from across the street. Men has been working on the street for that building. I don't know how long could the construction of that building would end. I guess that company might be big. Att the back of my mind the expenditures they could spend with the renovation of the structure of the building, new drainage, some power outlet, and landscaping, they could be drilling some big money over it. Anyway, I am just rambling some thoughts here.

Maui On Top

Descending the island of Maui-Hawaii, this picturesque beauty capture your eyes. It took me a lot of takes to get this shot. I was able to get this picture by luck and also crop and edit the original shot. I think I made justice with it. What do you think? Isn't it nice to see this place?

June-uary Weather

Strange title as it may sounds, yes it is. Well I am referring the weather here in California like Winter for the month of June. We did have 2 weeks of heat and it was really hot. We were sweating and thanks for the portable aircon we have at home. We live in a small old duplex unit so you can't imagine of a central air conditioning system. The portable machine didn't really put up much cold air. But, at least it made us feel comfortable.

This week's weather is somewhat cold. I tried to wear t-shirts for 2 days but I already felt some chill so today I made to put back on some long lighter sweater. What happen to the weather? Where's the good comfortable sunshine.

Last week on the news, I watched the weatherman forecasts the weather for this week. I didn't imagine that rain could pour yesterday. I was cold when I had my little shopping in Westfield Valley fair in Steven's Creek and grabbed some food ingredients at Savemart for dinner.

But, it was still a good weather though it's quiet early for a summer season!

A day in Santa Cruz

It was such a beautiful day to spend the day. We make the most of the wonderful we have. Hubby and I went to see the beach and just relax. Mostly we were seating at the trunk of the car facing the ocean and loving the same talking to our future and ideas. It was a very pretty cool scenario.

The weather was starting to cool down 2 hours before sunset. I was not able to see it but it was such a lovely day.

So many disasters

What's happening in the world today? There's just so many sad stories on the news. Recently, tornado hit Joplin, MO. It caused so many lives, other homeless and many missing. Disasters can be so bad in the US economy. Struggling from the chaos of politics and economy barely improving another bad phenomenon is just hurting the country. Just yesterday, another tornado hit Kansas and it's neighboring state. Tornado alarm was spreading the neighbors like Texas. A friend of mine who lives in Texas sent a message in Facebook about the warning. Such a devastation crippling the US.

I don't know what's going to happen but I am thinking positive for the future of the country and it's people. As an american naturalized I am proud of the country but I am hoping for the best that politics and business people can do good improving the country well with the disasters going on, wars and others.

I wish prayers for the victims of the calamity and I hope they could survive in this time of struggle. I could only extend them my prayers. I know it works miracle.

What's My Car

I have been driving my very first car since 2007. It’s a Chevrolet Equinox year 2006. I got it because of it’s size. I feel good with American cars too. I don’t want a standard size. This was agreed upon by my partner which he strongly advice that I should get this big because he was thinking forward about possibilities of me getting hit very badly in an accident. The car size is perfect. It has room. If by no means things could happen unexpectedly, the size of the car could probably save me for big damages physically and emotionally. It’s not too small and not too big.

Since driving it for 4 years I don’t have big issues with running it. Actually, it’s been doing pretty good. I of course intend to get the car well maintained from changing oil and never get the gas tank dry up. The only concern that I had was the check engine light due to gas cap issue. I bought a different gas cap where you could lock it up. These days you need one to prevent from getting rob. But I guess the vehicle won’t like it. It will light up if I will not use the original cap. Recently, I tried it one more time but this time I made sure I have the original cap handy but just put it in the same compartment. Luckily, the check engine light never comes on. It might be working this time. I am crossing my fingers.

Since this has been the issue for my car, I searched online using repairpal and see other customer who’s driving the same car as mine. It’s good to know that my model doesn’t really have that big issue and just the gas cap problem is just nothing to compare with other vehicle. So far, it’s been doing great and I like the performance.

Festival

I love going to festival. It's more fun to see different kinds of displays from arts and crafts. Not to mention the good food and drinks. I recently went to Campbell last Sunday. I had a great time with my husband. We hopped from one booth to another. From the start of our walk, hubby told me that probably we could get a very good balsamic vinegar this time. So I said yes probably and hopefully we could. Lucky for us, we found this very nice vendor and their products were great. Tasted a couple of sample and we bought one small bottle for $12. It was quite expensive for just a small bottle. But it was just delicious.

The festival held in Campbell was the smallest venue I had been. But it was nice, I don't like walking far anyway. It was the very first venue that we're able to finish the whole scene of the event. It is because it was just a very short walking distance. Overall, I had a great time with what I saw and glad we were able to divert ourselves to get there.

Protection with Good Deals

There is no better means of protecting yourself from thieves or robbers by getting a security system. Yesterday, I saw this movie Panic room over the supreme channels I subscribed from Direct TV Deals and the movie was very interesting. The story of the movie was focus on a mother and daughter who recently rent a beautiful home in Manhattan. The house was built with a very sophisticated system. The panic room was the bonus room which was located in the master suite to protect the owner of the house if bad things could happen. The movie portrayed how secured the room was and having security system like that was very beneficial to the owner when the house was robbed. But, it’s just a movie. Probably in reality there could only be 1% of the community can afford the kind of system. Maybe communities that built in luxurious areas like Beverly Hills or Malibu can avail that or can purchase to have it.

For us who only can spend a few dollars a month, we could go for a complete security system for a small fraction of our income by purchasing from Home Security BeverlyHills website. With some good discount on that we could stretch the money we spend by adding some deals through D3q. It’s just a manner of how important it is to spend the money with what’s very necessary. It will be nice to get yourself a protection plus an added factor to get some leisure over a TV deals. That’s more useful and fun at the same time.

Pollen

Coming home to work yesterday I made a little side trip to get drinks from Starbucks. I am lucky that I live close from work to home. I made the route to San Tomas Expy. Traffic was good not much cars to deal with. I went to a stop in El Camino Real and will make my left turn when I observed the wind carrying flower buds and it's all over the street. I had my window opened when I made the stop and I hurriedly closed my window when I saw what was happening. No wonder all the allergies from people will come to live when things like pollen and flower buds will be scattering and flowing with the wind blows. I was glad I had not sneezed at all. I was feeling fine. I arrived at Starbucks with no problem and got my drinks.

Watching the Emmy's

Guest post from: Denver Stephens

I'm nuts about awards shows, but my favorite awards show would definitely have to be the Emmy's. I always look forward to watching the Emmy Awards, because I really enjoy watching T.V. from Emmy Awards recognize great television shows, I'm always able to really get into the awards show, and I always have a strong opinion about every category.

Every year, I get together with my sister to watch the Emmy Awards. She isn't quite as big a television fan as I am, but she still knows most of the shows that are up for an Emmy, and it's always a great time for us to be together and catch up. We really enjoy getting together, whether it's at my house or her house, and turning on the satellite TV and watching the Emmy Awards together.

I love seeing the different celebrities during the Emmy Awards. There's always a fantastic host, but seeing all the presenters is also great. I also want to see the celebrities out on the red carpet, to see the different fashions and styles that they're wearing. It's a chance for me to feel like a celebrity myself! Another great part about the Emmy Awards, is that in chance that there's a television show that has been nominated that I don't watch, I now know of a new show that I can make part of my routine.

Spring is Here

I arrived from my trip April 22nd and the weather was fine. It was perfect as I recall. No rain and the temperature was absolutely good for me. I had a very exhausting trip. On my flight I slept longer of which I should have not been doing but my body was giving up. I was so tired.

Anyway, the day I arrived and on the weeks after the weather was just cool. I had felt one day of too much heat but it was just once. It was last week and I thought it could probably be the beginning of summer but it didn't. This week is a little bit cooler than I expected. Some sunshine with a cool breeze. It's not freezing but a little cold for me. But I rather have this weather than having to feel the heatwave. I am perfectly fine with the weather.

The flowers and pollen are every where now. People have experience allergies and I saw people at my job having those problems and I did a little but the pill helped me not to get sick. My hubby at times got his sneezing moment and taking pills relieved him from getting too sick. I am glad that it didn't get worst and I hope he will be okay all through spring and summer. For all the people who has common allergies, just take a lot of vitamin c and bring pills all the time.

Lawyers

Lawyers are very important to handle people’s individual problems or transactions. It could ever be tribulations from employment and industrial law like workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, termination of employment and others. This is just one aspect of being a lawyer. There are areas of expertise and one example of that are compensation lawyers. Maurice Blackburn Lawyers lists different lawyers in Australia. You will just choose which location you live and it will point lawyers from each locality.

What makes this company a stand out is that they treat fair judgment. They fight for what’s right for the people and even offered extra hours of service to assist clients in very crucial times. The quality of services they guarantee are proven true and many clients are happy with what they provide. If it’s going to be me who will undergo such an ordeal with legal matters, I would definitely hire people that who knows their job and offer me the best service. This company does provide what clients need. No matter what areas you are looking for either compensation lawyers or any other lawyers in that manner. They certainly will guide you and impart you with guaranteed excellent service.
