Online Pictures

This is a guest post by Alex Tilling
One of the best things about using satalite internet in NC over dial up, is the ability to manage photos and other media types. Since there are a variety of hosting services available, this makes it a snap to organize, upload and download pictures to a central location. Having digital media at the ready, helps when trying to do any kind of business online.
Probably the best application for this type of activity is hosting files for the auction site Ebay. Buyers there want to see multiple pictures of any item that is up for sale. Being able to have an online host for any photos makes it easy to access and select the best views or angles for the sales page.
With plenty of space available for any account of moderate size, a user can quickly establish folders for many different categories. This makes it a breeze to pick out a photo as necessary and transfer it to another location. The real beauty of online storage is that no real limitations are established. There is also no worries about crashing of the har drive or loss of a media storage device. Managing your photos online is a remarkable method of maintaining a good selection of pictures for quick and easy access. It should be a part of any method for online activity and successful goal setting.

Rock Formation - Aruba

Aruba is a very small country. The island is small and you can basically tour the city in a day. That's how small it is. Maybe it's like Singapore in size or smaller. Though I haven't been to Singapore yet. Anyway, out of our curiosity and looking at the tourist guide book. Hubby and I decided to find this place. We were lost the first time but eager enough to find it the effort was paid off.

This is in the middle of the island. The big rocks where formed by the original inhabitants as the historian did say. They built this place for relaxation maybe and to hear the incoming thunder? But I haven't got to the history of this place yet. I will dig in to it later when I can finish with my readings as well. Anyway, I just want to tell here the experience when I went.

We arrived at the place saw this scattered big stone and at one area the stones were piled up. When you walked through it, you can by pass small entry way where stone are put together side by side. No big people can fit in if you are more than 400lbs. It's a bit slippery too due to the moisture built in. On top is flat. Circular in shape and there's a little boundary on the side of the edges. But the trade winds in this place is overpowering. It's scary for me to go up there where I felt like I could be pushed along the wind and fell on the ground. I was trembling and my hair was all over the place. The winds was just so powerful. But getting there is magnificent. You can see the view of the island. The volcano is vividly on the spot too where inland you can't really see it.

Incline Village, Lake Tahoe

I went there with hubby February of 2009. I haven't got the chance to write something about it maybe because I wasn't really looking into the pictures that I took and missed the opportunity of writing the story behind it. Now I have come to that realization, it is better to put it into writing.

This is the place where the rich lives. You can see big and grand houses here. It is one among the places that I have seen but this is one among them. It is amazing to see it myself. While driving to this village, there's a spot for picnic and beach outing. We stopped there and I got these beautiful photos. The sun that time was perfect. It was a little bright on the other hand. My photos turned out okay but many of it got too overexposed. Not aware the settings of the camera and photography itself, my hopes of a good photo didn't turn out the way I planned it. But that's what they say, through your mistakes you can learn something which that time I did.

Anyway, it is very relaxing to be in this place. So relaxing to see. The lake is magnificent and the mountain view superb. I just love nature itself.

Round Coffee Table

I love to decorate home with new furnishings. Just few weeks ago during memorial weekend, I was with hubby to buy a dresser for me. It has been an overdue project and now it’s been scratched from our lists. But there are still a lot of things that must have to be done at home. It’s more than you think and right now we are taking our time and taking it one day at a time too in buying the stuffs that we want.

In our living room, the round coffee table that we have is a disaster. It caused us a lot of accident due to the metal frame. The edge of the metal is sharp that oftentimes when not very cautious we could get a wound out of it. Several occasions we were screaming in pain and would like to throw it away at that instant. But we prefer to keep it until we can get a new round coffee table.

Become is a website that offers a lot of products in really big discounts. I saw their lists on the furnishings and I am very delighted to see how reasonable the prices of the items. I would consider buying myself knowing how I hate my current round coffee table. This could be a good opportunity for me to get it. To my readers, if you are doing the same thing like getting new stuff to replace your new furniture visit the site. It is very easy to navigate and you will be surprised how much you can save out of it.

Highway 1 - Rock Formation

It's been our thing to do some scenic road trip during the weekends. I have this picture that I took where me and hubby was driving along highway 1 going towards San Francisco. This capture my attention because of it's formation. It is like rocks put together to form like a house. I don't know if this is handmade or pure nature. It caught my attention that very time and with the long range lens I had that day, I did a little justice on it though it's apparent the noise on the picture.

Improved Home Safety

Guest post from my buddy Jerry Tames.

Since moving to my current home in the past five years, I have taken a few steps to improve the safety of my home. I have strengthened several areas along with contacting ADT in Detroitto get a home alarm system. First I removed the current front door, and installed a steel one in its place. It also has a deadbolt lock. High upper windows still allow me to see who is at the front door.

I purchased an inexpensive camera for my backyard and garage door area. The camera attaches wirelessly to my computer, and I have the ability to record action as well. For extra security, have a Home Security Alarm system installed.

I keep my car parked in the garage all the time, so people cannot easily tell if I am home or not. I installed curtains over the garage windows, to block the view of my car. Parking in the garage also decreases vandalism. At both the front and back doors, I have motion sensor lights to cover the area of any approaching person or vehicle, and they are left on all the time. They are so sensitive, they even pick up the neighborhood animals.

While our neighborhood doesn't have an organized neighborhood watch, we do watch over each other's homes while someone is away. I also have friends check my house during my vacations.

Mountain View - Cebu

One of the many beautiful spot you don't have to miss in Cebu is this great over looking scene. This is located at Busay maybe 15 kilometers from the City. The road going up to the top is a hell of a ride if you don't have a better ride. We were riding a small car with full capacity so it was a dragging ride to get there. Lucky, the car did make it and we arrived safe and sound on top.
At the entrance, we paid Php50 each excluding the kids. We were 14 of us including the children. It is more like a complete family get together. I was happy to bring them all to see it in one time. It's good to share the blessings you have. My dad was happy he finally able to visit the place. I remembered he was asking my sister in law as to when we will going there. So I did took him with the rest of the family on my last visit. Everyone had a good time.

My Entire family

Mom and Dad

Big brother Aldin

Me with the view. Envy? Come on see it yourself. It's not too far.

My brother and his kid

Overlooking the bay

One Sunday afternoon just recently, hubby was on the wheel while I took this shot. There's a warning sign not to stop all the time but the view was just amazing that I told hubby I want a shot with this. He stopped and had let me shoot.

We went to this hill out of curiosity on the vacant lot we saw online. We passed this road going up but didn't realize how beautiful it is when we were already going down the hill. I can't resist with this. I felt satisfied when I got the shot that I want. On this road, you can see from both ends the view of the bay area. From Oakland I believe from your right and Morgan hill at your left. I am not pretty sure the dimension but it's very nice to be able to see this.

The area isn't too far from we lived too. I would say 8 miles. That's not too bad. Lucky for the people and community who lives there. Envy no! It just come to mind the question what kind of job and business these people have who can get such property like that. Question that only them can answer.
